The reader follows characters This novel is about three women – Caillean, Dierna and Viviane. Now I need to read other epic novels and tease out what made this one read like “General Hospital at the Round Table. The book moves slowly, focusing much more on characters than on action. No trivia or quizzes yet. Her theology is so propagandized and not really actually reasoned. There are books in which we immerse ourselves in and this one, as well as the others in the series, was the case for me.

Those were the ones that made me kept reading, not Arthur, not Lancelot, not Morgaine. My favorite character by far was Taliesin, the first Merlin of Britain in the story.

Morgaine has abandoned Avalon and renounced the Goddess and the life as a priestess. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. The Arthurian myth fascinates me and I couldn’t recommend this more to everyone who is curious about it or for those who want to have a different perspective on it.


They don’t change; they’re all archetypes that are constantly at odds with each other.

All characters had their end explained, one way or the other, and I didn’t find any loose ends. The author keeps repeating herself times and times over, with the same words, the same excuses, and the same avalkn state of minds. Lists with This Book.

Overall, I love the storyline about the tale of King Arthur and his sister Morgaine. The quest for the Holy Grail is one of them, in which we are also reminded of how eager people of that time were to believe in supernatural forces.
