Then there was Brenna’s friend Evan. And it does not help that Saxon is a big flirt who seems to not be able to keep his hands to himself.
Is not reacting to any of his charms and has a boyfriend.
Brenna Blixen Book Series:
This series had me rolling around in a one big pile of indifference. I will probably read the next one. It’s not overly graphic but it might make some uncomfortable, so be warned.
The good boy with a dark past. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. I like the new friend, even Briefly: Brenna I still felt like while she loved Jake so much she wasn’t as in love with him as he was with her.
Reinhardt really knows how to paint a picture with words; those little flirty, nervous, uncertain-what-the-other-is-thinking moments transported me back to my teen years and made me giddy.
Slow Twitch (A Brenna Blixen Novel) : Liz Reinhardt :
At times you like her just fine and there were times that you would love to hate her, especially having some sort of a relationship with two boys at the same time. Oct 21, Say rated it it was amazing Shelves: For a book that I believe is intended to be sex-positive and up-front about physical intimacy, I found that message was muddied by some conflicting and unflattering portrayals of other characters.
Neither boy is even close to perfect, though, which makes for some uncomfortable moments and history, but also some fairly realistic ones, including some wince-inducing bluntness from Saxon in particular.
Even though Brenna loved classic lit, I found her genuinely intelligent. Add to this individual tastes and preferences, and the field of opinion gets fascinatingly broad.
I wasn’t so crazy about all the “Brenna is so hot” comments again and again though, and I do think poor Jake gets the short end of the stick a bit, since he isn’t given that much to do and Saxon’s story is so much more interesting. Brenna Blixen is the new girl in town, but it doesn’t take long before a guy Sep 13, Kellie Maddox-Ward rated it it was amazing Shelves: They were a constant in this book.
It has a lot of things happening around each and every one of them. Brenna is away in Ireland for a few weeks. Nor do I think that either guy is good enough for Brenna yet. But it’s there that we get to see the sweetest character ever. I think I know her more… and maybe even like her just not all the time. During the first half of the day, she attends a regular High School and in the afternoon, she attends a Technical school for Graphic Design. No trivia or quizzes yet.
I honestly didn’t think it was possible to love these three characters more, but its true. Book 2 closed that down for him.
Brenna Blixen Series
There isn’t a lot brennw action in this book. Going to keep this one short as well. She is really wise for her age. Moving onto the next book Cadence, I don’t really understand her or how Saxon fell for her other than being off limits at first. She doesn’t let her hot and steamy relationship interfere with her school projects or her academic studies. I believe Jake loves Brenna with all his heart but that makes me sad because I feel like he deserves more than Brenna.
It wasn’t as great as that first book, but it does allow me to have some closure and to pretend that Junk Miles doesn’t exist. A review copy was provided by the author.
Love triangles are rarely well-done, but it’s easy to see why Brenna likes both boys in different ways–and why they like her, too. He does come into his own a little more btenna Junk Miles showing us his vengeful side and giving us a little peek of bad boy Jake in Slow Twitch. Its just about a small town brwnna dealing with every day issues, juggling school, homework, parents, and 2 boys vying for her attention.
He has to work. Blixn was nice being in their heads as being in Brenna’s was exhausted and left me feeling a bit burnt ou I wavered between 3 and 4 stars here.
